My man and woman were actually “mine” before they brought Yeti home; now they’re “ours”. She has an appeal, I admit, and can’t blame my humans for their weakness. But I need more cuddling! And they waste their time trying to cuddle her – and she usually doesn’t want to! Frankly, I think she’s stu- uh…this is her site – I think she’s, uh, stupendously independent, even for a cat…yeah.
My, er, our people insist that I wouldn’t get any more food if she weren’t here than I do now that she is, but I don’t believe them. She does, however, present extra opportunity for nom-noms, since she frequently doesn’t finish her meals…so I take it upon myself to help.
Before, when I had my people to myself, I was the center of their universe, and I lapped it up. And why shouldn’t I be? I was cute as a button!
At first, I shined up to the female, but I ended up falling for the male. He actually started out allergic, but quickly developed a tolerance, thankfully. I like the deep tone of his voice, and he gets me lots of toys. For a while I wanted him to myself, but I appreciate her as an ally now.
The Missus and I had a tame version of a love-hate relationship, at first. We disagree on some of the rules of the house. But we have learned to live together in harmony. She is an expert cuddler, and if the Mister teases me too much, she rushes to my defense.
I quickly realized she missed me as much when they left the house as I missed them. I suppose I kicked up such a fuss that I may be the core reason that they got Yeti, to keep me company. Well, Yeti is fun to play-fight with.
Yeti’s also handy to blame things on and fun to mess with…and she’s nice and warm.
